The Dean of Students Office Campus Assistance and Resources for Empowerment (CARE) programs provide support to students experiencing anticipated transitions and unexpected events. The Collegiate Veterans Success Center (CVSC) provides connection, resources and support for military-connected students at the University of Florida.
A Centers of Excellence for Veterans Student Success (CEVSS) Grant has been awarded by the U.S. Department of Education to encourage model programs of success through the coordination of services to address the needs of veteran students. As such, this time-limited position is funded through September of 2026 to establish a Centers of Excellence for Veterans Student Success program at the University of Florida, housed in the Collegiate Veterans Success Center (CVSC). The Program Coordinator will assist in the strategic implementation of the Centers of Excellence for Veteran Student Success program to advocate for and coordinate comprehensive veteran student support. This role will also work to expand veteran services and engagement to improve veteran enrollment, retention, and persistence. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with others within the Dean of Students Office, Division of Student Life, and other units across the UF academic enterprise and serves as a point of contact to address inquiries, concerns, complaints, and resolve challenges, including assisting veteran students and their families with navigating the University of Florida. |
