| The Center for Healthy Minds & Practice (CHaMP) at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM) and UF Health is seeking a full-time licensed mental health professional to join its team to help cultivate psychological wellbeing among UFCOM and UF Health faculty, residents, and staff in support of their personal and professional development. This counselor will provide short-term therapy both inperson and via telehealth, provide group support following critical incidents, facilitate ongoing support groups, provide training for and assistance to the clinician peer support program, and address emerging situations.
The counselor’s primary responsibility is to offer clinical services for individuals who work at the University of Florida College of Medicine/UF Health. Applicants should have experience working with a wide range of psychosocial (e.g., burnout/job stress, marital/familial stress, substance use concerns, interpersonal difficulties) and mental health concerns at varying levels of severity, with the ability to refer to community services as needed. Experience working with doctoral-level professionals, including healthcare workers, is preferred. The job will involve collaboration and coordination with other resources including the UF Employee Assistance Program, Care for Colleagues, UFCOM Director of Wellness Programs, and GatorCare Wellness, among others. |

| The Transplant Center in conjunction with the Department of Surgery, is seeking qualified candidates to fill a Medical Scientist I position to assist with clinical research for faculty in the division of Transplant Surgery. This position will assist in research that includes complex studies involving critically ill subjects being treated with procedures that may result in moderately severe adverse events, therapeutic intervention trials involving organ biopsy. This position is expected to work independently, however, the PI is always available for consultation. Normal business hours are M-F, 8A-5P, however, there is flexibility as the timing of the work hours will vary to include nighttime, weekend and/or holiday hours on an as needed basis dependent upon patient availability. Daily hours should be flexed not to exceed 40 in a pay week when possible. |
