The Veterinary Hospital Supervisor will be an integral member of the team, working with their manager and doctors to provide high quality nursing care and develop the nursing team with the service(s). This role works closely with their manager in a collaborative relationship. Primary job duties include leading and mentoring the daily operations of nursing staff as well as development of the skill and knowledge base of the team. This position acts as a working supervisor, providing oversight while working alongside their team. They will actively participate in the screening and selection of new team members and provide onboarding and training for the staff alongside their manager. They will also provide regular feedback to the nursing staff through performance evaluations and mentoring. Candidates must possess a strong knowledge of veterinary nursing care and techniques. The ideal candidate is an excellent verbal and written communicator, highly self-motivated, and able to prioritize well. The candidate will strive to promote teamwork both internally and externally within all services of the small animal hospital.

This position supports the grants and contracts as a Research Administrator III (RAIII) for the Department of Pediatrics. The position is responsible for directing and managing the development and administration of complex proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies following institutional policy; Overseeing the setup of awards and post-award management of assigned divisions/portfolios; Providing support to Principal Investigators and administrative staff. The Research Administrator works independently to ensure the departmental research operations process smoothly and to help achieve departmental research objectives.
