As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN),this position is responsible for both direct care and case management to adolescent, adult and pediatric patients with infectious diseases and HIV, including inpatient at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and UF Health. The APRN will work within established protocol/scope of practice established mutually with licensed medical professionals. The APRN will participate in the clinical care of patients, including patients enrolled in research trials, under the general supervision of the physician. The position is also responsible for assisting with specific medical program, research and clinical operations for the care coordination of pediatric, adult, and adolescent patients in a multi-disciplinary outpatient medical clinic (UF CARES); counseling patients regarding their health; and providing primary and specialty care to HIV infected and affected patients.

The Congenital Heart Center, at the Shands Children’s Hospital, University of Florida Gainesville is seeking a full-time Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist. The ideal candidate will be academically motivated board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology with additional training completed in pediatric heart failure, transplant, and ventricular assist devices. Experience with DCD is highly desirable. The candidate’s primary clinical responsibility will be to work within the Heart failure and transplant multidisciplinary team. The responsibilities include care of patients with cardiomyopathies, heart failure, transplant, congenital heart disease, and ventricular assist devices. Responsibilities encompass submissions such as initial applications, continuing reviews, and protocol revisions through both the University of Florida Health Professions IRB and central IRBs.
