The University of Florida Digital Worlds Institute in the College of the Arts is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach DIG3713, Games Content Production I online for Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Unity-based 2D/2.5D game development, with a focus on game art content creation. The course goes over a full 2D/2.5D game development cycle including game design documentation, gameplay systems, level design, UI/UX, visual effects, audio implementation, build production, using predeveloped C#-scripts and workflows. They should be prepared to teach effectively in an online format, lead engaging live or recorded demonstrations, and guide students through industry-aligned production processes such as planning, scope, pipelines, testing, iteration, and the creation of a polished multi-level executable game. The successful instructor will also demonstrate a strong command of collaborative game production practices and a commitment to mentoring emerging game developers and digital artists. The course requires the instructor of record to provide online lectures, grading, office hours, and student feedback. This remote position requires an estimated 8-12 hours/week to support this course. This time-limited appointment is from August 16, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
