The OPS Research Assistant in AI-driven Drug Discovery will work in the lab of Dr. Yanjun Li in the College of Pharmacy's Medicinal Chemistry department. They will be an active member of a scientific group that develops and prototypes novel AI algorithms for impactful drug discovery problems involving sequence and structure modeling for protein, RNA, or small molecule. This position is in-person and is not eligible for remote work.

The Director of Human Resources (HR) for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) serves as the college’s chief HR officer and principal advisor to the Dean, Associate Deans, and department chairs/center directors on all HR matters. CLAS is the university’s largest and most diverse college, with a broad mix of faculty, TEAMS employees, postdoctoral associates, graduate assistants, adjuncts, and student employees across multiple academic and administrative units. The Director provides strategic leadership, policy interpretation, and operational oversight for all HR functions in CLAS, including recruitment and onboarding, faculty and academic personnel actions, classification and compensation, employee/labor relations in partnership with UF Human Resources (UFHR), performance management, compliance, and HR data/reporting. The position serves as the primary CLAS liaison to core administrative units to ensure alignment with university policy and timely implementation of university-wide HR initiatives.

The University of Florida, Department of Chemistry, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the broadly defined area of Artificial Intelligence for Quantum Chemistry of Molecular Quantum Materials. This search is part of UF’s initiative in Artificial Intelligence for Quantum Science, with similar faculty searches in the Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments. Senior applicants (already Tenured Associate or Full Professors) might qualify for term of fully endowed positions. Preferred research areas include the development of quantum chemical methods, multiscale simulation frameworks, and AI-accelerated approaches for modeling, prediction, and discovery in molecular and materials systems. We especially encourage applications from researchers with a compelling vision to use machine learning to expand the reach of quantum chemistry and address fundamental challenges in chemical science. A successful candidate will be expected to conduct innovative research at the highest level and to establish an outstanding, independent, externally funded research program. We seek candidates with a record of excellence in research and scholarship and an ability to excel in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Center Director and Professor - Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory 60900000 - AG-FMEL-VERO BEACH Indian River
The Director provides leadership and assistance to the faculty and staff at the center in developing and implementing research, extension, and academic programs and seeks Federal, State, and/or private funds to supplement the budget provided by the Florida Legislature. Other administrative responsibilities include the preparation of budgets, allocation of operating funds to all sections of the Center, evaluation of all FMEL faculty members in conjunction with department chairs, the initiation of tenure and promotion for FMEL faculty members in consultation with appropriate department chairs, and supervision of staff including farm operations, automotive services, custodial/janitorial/maintenance services, and the center’s media specialist. The Director is responsible for communicating all facility needs and maintenance requirements to the appropriate staff and administrators. Close interaction with industry representatives and governmental agencies is expected.
