The candidate is expected to assume leadership of for the NIH NIDDK/NHLBI supported Cardiovascular Repository for Type 1 Diabetes (CaRe-T1D) program (www.caret1d.org), contribute effort to the world-renowned University of Florida Diabetes Institute (UFDI), have a track record of sustained extramural research grant support, and have made significant scientific contributions to the fields of human diabetes, cardiovascular pathology, and/or vascular biology. Experience in biobanking is highly desirable. The candidate also has the opportunity for clinical service, preferably with cardiovascular or renal pathology; however, those with related experience in endocrinology or other medical disciplines are also encouraged to apply. |
