This position supports the Law & Society component of our program in Criminology & Law by emphasizing the study of the social context of law. Specifically, this position focuses on legal and extra-legal factors affecting decision-making in the legal system decision patterns that emerge across cases, and the impacts of those patterns on individuals, communities, and policies. Applicant research programs can emphasize theory development, methodological applications (quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed), and/or policy analysis. Those who incorporate legal expertise into their research and teaching are encouraged to apply, as are those who focus on criminal and/or civil administration of law.

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies at the University of Florida seeks an instructor at the rank of Lecturer (working title: Assistant Instructional Professor) with experience teaching online Spanish, coordinating language courses at the university level, and mentoring instructors (including graduate teaching assistants). This is a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure-accruing position (promotion eligible) to be renewed on a year-to-year basis, contingent on funding. The start date is August 16, 2026. This position requires physical presence in the Gainesville, FL area. Responsibilities of the position include: • Teaching lower-division Spanish courses for UF Online, with occasional assignments in the Spanish online residential program; the teaching distribution for this position will be three courses per semester plus a summer assignment. • Working closely with the UF Online Spanish Coordinator and the Director of Language Instruction to assist in coordinating Lower Division Spanish language online courses and to train and supervise graduate teaching assistants. • Participating in departmental duties, including committee work, ongoing training in pedagogy, curriculum development, and supervision of instructors. The ideal candidate will have: a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Spanish or a closely related field (M.A. or M.Ed. will be considered if other qualifications are outstanding); native or native-like fluency in English and Spanish; demonstrated excellence as an online instructor; and exceptional organizational and mentorship skills.

The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is offering multiple Adjunct Clinical Postdoctoral Associate positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The postdoctoral position offers advanced training in a variety of areas related to the health service field of psychology. Postdoctoral associates receive advanced training in university counseling services. The postdoctoral program currently offers generalists positions with the possibility for additional specialization in three major areas: (1) Psychological Assessment. (2) Intensive Support (Suicide Prevention and Intervention), (3) Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention and Intervention. Program development opportunities may be available, working alongside the program coordinators for these areas. The CWC training program adheres to the American Psychological Association’s profession-wide competencies along with the mental health code of ethics and state laws and rules. We believe that this training is vital to all parts of counselor development and competence and thus, is incorporated into all areas of supervision, training seminars, evaluations, and professional activities. The training program is also committed to cultivating an atmosphere that is conducive to learning by providing clinical postdoctoral associates with an appropriate blend of support and challenge. Postdoctoral associates are treated as early career professionals and as such, are given a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. Simultaneously, postdoctoral associates will receive the professional support necessary to allow for their continued professional development.

The Department of Physics at the University of Florida (UF) seeks a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Experimental Quantum Condensed Matter. We seek highly qualified candidates from experimental condensed matter in quantum sciences with a focus on, but not limited to, quantum materials and quantum sensing. The UF Physics Department has a broad range of research activities focused on quantum materials and measurements that span the discipline, complemented by support from a strong condensed matter theory group and the Quantum Theory Project (QTP). Modern laboratory space and competitive start-up funds will be provided. Available resources in the department include machine and electronics shops with experienced technicians and a state-of-the-art helium recovery facility. Relevant campus research facilities include the Cleanroom Fabrication Facilities in the UF Nanoscale Research Facility and the UF HiPerGator supercomputer cluster. Strong research opportunities exist through the affiliated, on-campus National High Magnetic Field Laboratory High B/T Facility, through collaborative opportunities with faculty in other UF departments, and through a major university-scale Artificial Intelligence initiative.
