The Learner Support and Advising Specialist is responsible for high-quality, learner-centric support across Lastinger Center products and programs by delivering fast-paced, high-volume services via virtual, self-service, and in-person channels. The role creates, curates, and governs comprehensive technical documentation—user guides, knowledge base articles, SOPs, and troubleshooting resources—while establishing structured communications and reporting to ensure consistent practices across the Support and Advising team. They foster success through relationship building and collaboration by closely coordinating with product, services, and program teams. The specialist coordinates expectations, facilitates meetings and testing of learner experiences to advocate for learner success, surface content, functionality, and UX issues, drives timely resolution, and manages change, risk, and contingency planning. They analyze roadblocks, track metrics, and conduct post-project assessments to advance continuous improvement in support operations and learner experience during all parts of the learner lifecycle. The position designs and delivers engaging training materials, workshops, and webinars for internal stakeholders and external users, and supervises part-time staff and student assistants through weekly check-ins, task oversight, mentorship, and tier-two escalation for high-support situations. They are crucial in promoting learner retention, satisfaction, and product adoption and providing insights for continues product improvement from a support and advising perspective. |

The Veterinary Hospital Supervisor will be an integral member of the Emergency and Critical Care service, acting as a point of contact for all activities relating to the veterinary assistant and volunteer staff. Primary job duties include managing the hiring, orienting, and daily operations of veterinary assistants working in the area, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the area, acting as trainer for continual education of staff concerning basic-to-advanced technical skills, and orienting and training the volunteer team. This position acts as a working supervisor, providing regular direct on-the-work-floor oversight. Incumbents must possess a strong knowledge of veterinary nursing care and techniques. The ideal candidate is an excellent verbal and written communicator, highly self-motivated, and able to prioritize well. Candidates must be capable of clear and concise communication with a large array of members of the veterinary care team, and able to promote teamwork both internally and externally to the department. |
