| The Program Director & Clinical AST/ASO/FULL Professor will provide strategic leadership in the development and growth of a multidisciplinary Brain Metastases Program within the Preston A. Wells Jr. Brain Tumor Center at the University of Florida. This faculty role focuses on advancing research, enhancing program infrastructure, and integrating clinical efforts across neurosurgery, radiation oncology, and medical oncology. Responsibilities include oversight of clinical program development, coordination of multidisciplinary clinics and tumor boards, protocol development, and expansion of clinical trials in brain metastases.

Wells Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine is committed to providing comprehensive clinical services for the diagnosis, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients suffering from diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system, including brain tumors, aneurysms, stroke, epilepsy, functional disorders, and spinal disorders and injuries. Our clinical care mission also extends throughout North Central Florida through regional neurosurgery programs. We offer the full spectrum of neurosurgical and neuro-oncology treatment options for both adults and pediatric patients. Our research labs and investigator-led initiatives and clinical trials are developing promising new treatments for neurological diseases that are extremely difficult to treat with conventional therapies. | A Clinical Research Nurse to help support Dr. Roussos-Ross’s research project, MOMitor. This will be done in close collaboration with our division research staff. The Clinical Research Nurse will communicate with patients, follow treatment algorithms, communicate with treating clinicians, schedule outpatient appointments. The Clinical Research Nurse will also assist physicians in obtaining and recording research data in conjunction with physicians and other professionals on the research team; interview subjects; enroll study subjects; review medical records; document research related findings and data in research forms and EMR. They will assist in planning nursing aspects of medical team research; write data collection tools. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of EMR, excel, and other data collection tools, work well in a team setting, recruit and enroll subjects in on-going clinical trials, coordinate history and physicals on clinical trial subjects, assist with continuing care of those subjects as well as maintain all regulatory and sponsor required documentation.
This position will cover the following (Alachua, Bradford, Gilchrist and Union Counties) and thus will need a reliable mode of transportation and willingness to drive 1 hour between clinical locations that will occur on weekdays. Some work will need to be in person in the counties assigned and some will be via telehealth/remote. |
