| This position is in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and supports the Outreach Engineering Management Program (OEM), a self-funded interdisciplinary master’s degree program. OEM serves experienced working professionals throughout the state of Florida, with classes meeting one weekend per month for 20 months at an off-campus location. A new cohort begins each fall and is typically comprised of 40-50 students. The Academic Assistant II must have outstanding customer service skills, a high level of professionalism, exceptional organizational skills, initiative, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. This staff member works very closely with the Associate Director and Director, and performs student services functions, plans and coordinates program events, has various fiscal responsibilities for the program, and maintains the smooth day-to-day operation of the OEM office. Frequent evening and weekend hours are required, as is recurrent travel. |
