| Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law invites applications for the Vivian G. Prins Endowed Visiting Professorship in Jewish & Israeli Law for the 2026–2027 academic year only. The Professorship brings leading and emerging scholars of Jewish and Israeli law to Pepperdine to teach, write, and engage with our vibrant academic and professional community in Los Angeles.

Assistant Professor of Theatre: Acting, Directing, or Musical Theatre

| The Fine Arts Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University seeks a theatre faculty member with strong experience in two of the following areas: acting, directing, and/or musical theatre choreography, for a tenure-track faculty position beginning August 1, 2026. This faculty member will teach classes in their primary area(s), as well as theatre courses in the general education curriculum. They will also direct in our mainstage season. As a member of the Theatre Program, they will participate in recruiting, academic advising, and program administration/assessment.
While developing and maintaining a regional and national reputation as a practitioner/teacher, the successful candidate will show a clear artistic and scholarly agenda and be able to articulate how those goals serve the mission of a liberal arts theatre program. The exceptional candidate will show an ability to prepare and teach students in a manner that reflects the diverse range of theatrical opportunities of the 21st century. As teaching is our foremost emphasis at Seaver College, candidates should also demonstrate exceptional interest and effectiveness in mentoring undergraduate students. |

We are open to candidates with various specialties who are willing and able to teach the introductory course in sociology that serves the Seaver College Core program and/or an introductory statistics course in addition to courses in their specialties. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sociology (although candidates who are ABD will also be considered), an active scholarly agenda, and a commitment to teaching excellence in a Christian liberal arts environment. |

We are open to various areas of expertise within the fields of either U.S. or international politics. An interest in teaching an introductory U.S. government course that serves the general education program of Seaver College, an introductory statistics course for the social sciences, or a course on Hispanic or Latin American politics would be welcome regardless of specialty.
