Working closely with the Museum Director and Museum Assistant, the Lilly Fellow will lead the development and implementation of educational partnerships with regional K-12 schools, community groups, and houses of worship as part of the Museum’s Lilly Endowment-funded initiative “Passages.” The Fellow will build on existing programs and relationships to create a more ambitious and sustainable approach to arts education at the Center for the Arts.
The ideal candidate will be versant in contemporary art and museum arts education, with a passion for making art accessible to diverse multigenerational audiences. The candidate must possess a familiarity with the major world religions and a high level of comfort and ease participating in and leading discussions about faith, religion, and spirituality. The ability to work well within a small team, in a fast-paced environment (sometimes under pressure), while remaining professional, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, is crucial to this role. The Graphic Designer plays a vital role in leading the creative communications process for Pepperdine University and its five schools. As part of University Marketing and Communications at Pepperdine, this position is responsible for many of the University's high profile communications pieces and serves a key communication liaison for the team. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Creative, the Graphic Designer will assist the assistant director and other IMC staff in designing major communications pieces that reach Pepperdine’s largest, external audiences. The Graphic Designer has the tools to create, integrate, analyze, synthesize and visualize vast amounts of information. Collaborates with production artists, photographers, illustrators, prepress technicians, printers, developers, and anyone else who is involved in the development of a project. |

This role involves analyzing usage data to inform collection development, negotiating license agreements, and maintaining accurate metadata to ensure that Pepperdine Libraries’ resources meet the ever-changing needs of the university’s academic community. Pepperdine Libraries’ collections currently include more than 370,000 print volumes, 500,000 ebooks, 65,000 electronic serials, and 130 databases.
