Instructional Designer, Media West LA Campus
This position, in partnership with faculty subject-matter experts (SMEs), and support staff, designs, develops, creates, deploys, and reviews media content intended for online and programs using multimodal course design. The role also supports faculty with media production, graphic design, video/audio recording, and video/audio editing services. As a member of the Center for Digital Learning, the position will implement and promote the effective use of course media, learning technologies, universal design, and instructional strategies that reflect Pepperdine University’s commitment to academic excellence.
Assistant to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer Malibu Campus
The Assistant to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (Assistant) will provide high-level administrative support to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), reporting to the Executive Director of Business Services Administration. This position will assist in a variety of items under the University’s COO umbrella, including, but not limited to, those implicated in Business Services Administration, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, Real Estate Operations, the Department of Public Safety, and the Center for Sustainability. The ideal candidate must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office with diverse projects and priorities. The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. In addition to the primary role of supporting the Office of the COO, the Assistant will also support the Office of the Executive Vice President (EVP) and all other operational areas. This position must utilize problem-solving skills on a myriad of levels, from rearranging complex schedules to revising and refining existing policies. It is vital for this candidate to assess the status quo and the desired final product, then create an appropriate action plan. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail are equally important.
Controls Technician Malibu Campus
Under the direction of the Manager, Maintenance Services and the Supervisor, Mechanical Services for the Department of Facilities Services (DFS) and in collaboration with your colleagues, oversee the Energy Management System (EMS) that controls building automation systems, maintain optimum operating levels, ensure system integration and coordination. Closely collaborate with your colleagues in the Department of Design and Construction (DDC), Planning, Operations, and Construction (POC), and other University departments to support daily operations and initiate and deliver projects, on budget and on schedule.
Administrative Assistant, Religion and Philosophy Division Malibu Campus
The Religion & Philosophy (RELP) Division is tasked specifically with providing instruction in the Religion component of General Education Program, as well as granting undergraduate and graduate degrees. This position has two primary functions. The first is outward facing, to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents and prospective students seeking information. Secondly, this position facilitates the on-going, and day-to-day administrative activities within the division office; working closely with the Divisional Dean, Office Manager, and division faculty members. The division operates in conjunction with the Office of Church Relations, the Center for Faith and Learning, and the Hub for Spiritual Life to encourage Christian spiritual formation within the Pepperdine community, and to strengthen the University mission statement.
PsyD Program Administrative Assistant West LA Campus
Under the supervision of the PsyD Senior Program Administrator, the PsyD Administrative Assistant provides support on a broad range of tasks to the PsyD Program Director, faculty, staff and administration in order to accomplish the functions, goals and objectives of the Psychology Doctoral Program in the Psychology and Education Division. Tasks and responsibilities are determined by division priorities. The primary focus of the position is to support administrative activities to ensure that the functions, goals and objectives of the office are accomplished and PsyD Division faculty and students are supported. The PsyD Program Administrative Assistant works closely with the PsyD Senior Program Administrator, PsyD Program Director, the Associate Dean of Psychology, and the Psy.D. Executive Committee to support the effective administration of the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) Program. The primary focus of the position is to assist in implementing the policies and procedures that govern the daily operation of program. Particular emphasis is placed on data and information management in student matriculation, clinical training and career progression.
