The Digital Designer plays a vital role in shaping and executing digital creative communications for Pepperdine University and its schools. As part of the University Marketing and Communications team, this position is responsible for designing compelling digital experiences and high-impact communications across web, email, social media, and other digital platforms. The Digital Designer serves as a key liaison in ensuring digital design excellence and consistency across the University's external-facing channels.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Creative, the Digital Designer collaborates closely with the assistant director, the senior director and other IMC team members to conceptualize and produce dynamic digital assets that engage Pepperdine’s largest audiences. This role requires a strong grasp of digital design principles, interactivity, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary designer with the ability to integrate, analyze, and visualize complex information in digital formats. They will work in collaboration with developers, UX/UI designers, content strategists, photographers, illustrators, and others involved in the production and launch of digital projects. |
Instructional Designer, Media

This position, in partnership with faculty subject-matter experts (SMEs), and support staff, designs, develops, creates, deploys, and reviews media content intended for online and programs using multimodal course design. The role also supports faculty with media production, graphic design, video/audio recording, and video/audio editing services. As a member of the Center for Digital Learning, the position will implement and promote the effective use of course media, learning technologies, universal design, and instructional strategies that reflect Pepperdine University’s commitment to academic excellence. |

The Assistant to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (Assistant) will provide high-level administrative support to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), reporting to the Executive Director of Business Services Administration. This position will assist in a variety of items under the University’s COO umbrella, including, but not limited to, those implicated in Business Services Administration, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs, Real Estate Operations, the Department of Public Safety, and the Center for Sustainability. The ideal candidate must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office with diverse projects and priorities. The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. In addition to the primary role of supporting the Office of the COO, the Assistant will also support the Office of the Executive Vice President (EVP) and all other operational areas. This position must utilize problem-solving skills on a myriad of levels, from rearranging complex schedules to revising and refining existing policies. It is vital for this candidate to assess the status quo and the desired final product, then create an appropriate action plan. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail are equally important. |
