As a member of the Industry Development team, you will be required to regularly engage industry stakeholders, including Accounting Entities, Professional Bodies, Industry Associations, Institutes of Higher Learning, and other Government Agencies, to develop Singapore as the leading Accountancy hub through the development, promotion and implementation of initiatives to:

(i) Future-proof and nurture talent with relevant capabilities and skills;

(ii) Grow a strong and vibrant Accountancy sector in Singapore and beyond; and

(iii) Position Singapore as a leading hub and exchange for high value Accountancy services and talent.

You will play a critical role to drive the initiatives under the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS), established under the umbrella of the Singapore Accountancy Commission, to develop and grow Singapore into a Centre of Excellence for Business Valuation, through the following:

  • Plan and implement advocacy activities to increase the branding and enrolment on the Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) programme in Singapore and overseas
  • Plan and implement engagement activities to increase the profile of CVA Charter holders amongst regulators, international bodies and industry stakeholders
  • Work with local and international stakeholders to drive thought leadership activities, e.g. conferences, market studies, roundtables, etc.
  • Plan and organise CPE programmes to keep CVA Charter holders abreast of the latest industry trends and developments, including new skills and knowledge
  • Support the development and maintenance of industry relevant frameworks and standards for CVA Charter holders that can be promulgated overseas
  • Work with corporate communications to develop content for IVAS-related speeches and media outreach
  • Provide secretarial support to the IVAS Council and committees where required
  • Collaborate closely with other government agencies on cross-agency projects where required


  • Diploma or degree, and other relevant professional qualifications may be considered
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of the developments in the Business Valuation industry and profession would be an advantage
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management involving a diverse group of key decision makers both internally and externally
  • Good industry networking skills and ability to connect the dots
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
