Agency: Ministry of Defence - DXO
Job no.: 531926
Work type: Permanent
Location: Singapore

At the Ministry of Defence, our mission is to enhance Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy, and should these fail, to secure a swift and decisive victory over the aggressor. Our Defence Executive Officers (DXOs), alongside their military counterparts, play critical roles in preserving Singapore's sovereignty and stability.

Additionally, you engage intimately with Home Team’s tactical units and agencies on their respective operation matters, as well as engage the Whole-of-Government agencies, inclusive of Boards, academia and industry, to drive future capability development so as to ensure data interoperability and a common governance framework. Your challenge lies in keeping abreast of commercial geospatial technologies that can affect homeland security operations, and to enable new geospatial capabilities for both MHA and MINDEF/SAF.

You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in a geospatial-related field. You should have at least 5 years’ work experience, with the ability to understand the technical parameters unique to geospatial research operations. You should also possess good writing, communication as well as interpersonal skills to be able to liaise across various stakeholders.
