Established in 2001, the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) vision is to build a nation of healthy people.

We aim to empower residents in Singapore to attain optimal health, increase the quality and years of healthy life, and prevent illnesses, disability and premature death.

To achieve this, HPB drives national health promotion and disease prevention programmes, spearheads health education initiatives and creates a supportive environment in Singapore where healthy lifestyle options are available and accessible for healthy living every day.

The School Health and Outreach Division is responsible for engaging educational institutions to establish supportive health promoting environments and policies, implement programmes and engage key stakeholders to ensure that children and youth in Singapore are in optimal health for holistic growth, learning and development.

 

Child and youth health areas of interest include nutrition, physical activity, mental wellness, tobacco control, communicable diseases and HIV/AIDS prevention.

 

The Pre-school Partnerships (PP) Department oversees the establishment and implementation of health promotion programmes in the pre-schools (kindergartens and childcare centres) so as to reduce or prevent the onset of chronic lifestyle diseases. We develop engaging outreach strategies to support health promotion programmes in pre-schools for children. We organise school-based activities to increase awareness of key health messages and to build capacity of pre-schools and their stakeholders.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Developing suitable outreach and communication strategies aimed at raising the children’s awareness on a range of health issues and how they can adopt a healthy lifestyle

·         Forging effective and valuable partnerships with relevant stakeholders and markets

·         Promoting youth health promotion programmes among the pre-schools.

 

Job Requirements:

·         Relevant tertiary qualifications

·         Good interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills

·         Project management skills

·         Creativity and a keen interest in working with the young

·         Self-motivation and a desire to excel

·         High energy, confident, versatile and dynamic
