Job Description

As Senior Head/ Senior Manager, Human Resource in the Higher Education Operations Division, you will play a crucial role in the formulation, review and operationalisation of Human Resource (HR) policies in the higher education sector.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and formulating strategic HR and manpower policies for Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs)
• Reviewing and facilitating the development of officers in the IHLs to help build up the leadership pipelines
• Facilitating the appointment processes for governing boards and boards of trustees of the IHLs
• Coordinating the nomination process for awards and milestone programmes for officers in IHLs
• Evaluating HR policies and initiatives proposed by MOE Statutory Boards
• Supporting the operations and review of policies related to the Singapore Teaching and Academic and Research Talent Scheme (START) for young Singaporeans who have an interest in an academic career
• Providing operational and administrative support for manpower planning, staffing and HR management within the Higher Education Group

This is an individual contributor role which is open to both fresh graduates and applicants with experience.


Requirements

• An effective team player with strong interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• A meticulous individual who is able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• A resourceful individual who is able to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and within tight timelines
• Prior experience in human resource and policy-related work would be an advantage
