Job Scope/ Key deliverables:

The job holder assists the Senior Assistant Director (Cybersecurity Policy) to oversee cybersecurity policy development which serves as a basis to protect Home Team’s ICT systems against cyber threats. The job holder will also help to oversee and coordinate with Home Team Departments (HTDs) on all issues on the Cybersecurity Act, with the aim to protect the Critical Information Infrastructures (CIIs). The job holders will be required to:

  • Draft and maintain cyber security policies to support the dynamic nature of Home Team’s operating landscape while ensuring that the policies are harmonise against National or WOG level policies and guidelines such as IM8 and Cybersecurity Act
  • Work closely with the Science & Technology (S&T) Agency to ensure policies are aligned to the needs of S&T developments within the Home Team
  • Coordinate with WOG policy developers and stakeholders for inputs and play an active and direct role in securing MHA’s interest
  • Coordinate with HTDs for all matters in the Security & Emergency Sector helmed by MHA under the Cybersecurity Act
  • Perform risk assessment on issues, especially in cases of non-compliance or deviation
  • Support management to provide proactive updates on compliance and health status of CIIs to MHA senior management.


Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering in a relevant field (e.g. Cybersecurity, Computer Science)
  • At least 1 year in a cybersecurity role
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a related domain
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Act (preferred)


Personal Characteristics & Behaviour:

  • Able to work independently as well as a good team player
  • Good interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
  • Able to work within tight deadlines

All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
