The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is Singapore's national land use planning authority. URA prepares long term strategic plans, as well as detailed local area plans, for physical development, and then co-ordinates and guides efforts to bring these plans to reality. Prudent land use planning has enabled Singapore to enjoy strong economic growth and social cohesion, and ensures that sufficient land is safeguarded to support continued economic progress and future development.

The URA Academy seeks to develop urban planning excellence within URA and in the planning industry, through training programmes, industry engagement and sharing, developing learning and development content, and knowledge management.  These programmes delve into the judicious and innovative land use planning system that facilitated Singapore‚Äôs development into a liveable and distinctive city.

In this role, you will work closely with the Planners and Managers of the URA Academy to support work in the following areas:

  • Working with subject matter experts on the design, development, delivery and updating of learning resources and programmes  
  • Coordinating training courses, talks, seminars and visits to URA and providing publicity and logistic support for these
  • Developing and managing multi-media and interactive digital learning content
  • Managing content sharing and learning platforms, e.g. SharePoint pages and sites, Learning Management Systems
  • Facilitating smooth implementation of learning content development and knowledge management initiatives
  • Supporting department administrative functions and budgeting requirements (e.g. IT, procurement, records management, asset inventory management)

 

Requirements, Qualities and Experience that we are looking for

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a learning and development role
  • Experience in managing content on SharePoint and learning management systems
  • Experience in developing and managing multi-media and interactive digital learning content
  • Able to use information systems to handle administrative, record management, budgeting and procurement matters
  • Able to use business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create dashboards and interactive data visualisation
  • Graphic design, video editing and/or animation skills and ability to use relevant tools/ software will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Good working and learning attitude, with an interest in keeping up-to-date with new learning technologies
