As a Procurement Officer, you have a sharp, analytical mind and an ability to get to the heart of an issue. Responsibilities

Partner internal customers to procure goods/services in a timely, effective and compliant manner, so as to enable IRAS to achieve its mission and objectives effectively and efficiently while ensuring public accountability. This includes:

  • Recommending the most appropriate procurement approach to maximise effectiveness and cost efficiency in a publicly accountable manner, by bridging IRAS’ needs with what the market can offer while adhering to prevailing procurement policies
  • Ensuring that the end-to-end procurement process is compliant and adheres to the Government procurement principles of transparency, open and fair competition and value-for-money, which involves the vetting of requirement specifications and bid evaluation reports, giving sound advice on contract management and operating the Government procurement digital platform (GeBIZ)
  • Continuous review of internal procurement policies to ensure that they continue to be compliant, efficient, effective and in sync with commercial practices, including exploring more innovative ways of procuring
  • Leveraging on data analytics for better decision making, and tools/methodologies (e.g. Robotic Process Automation, Service Design & Behavioural Insights) to streamline work processes or improve the service experience for internal customers

  • Government procurement experience would be a plus
