The Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Muis), also known as the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, was established as a statutory body in 1968 when the Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA) came into effect. Under AMLA, Muis is to advise the President of Singapore on all matters relating to Islam in Singapore.

Muis is a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). It seeks to develop a Muslim community with strong Islamic credentials that thrives in the contemporary world, and is an active partner in nation-building. At Muis, we strive to fulfil the values of compassion and inclusiveness. We design and deliver programmes which are targeted to create a community that is a blessing and inspirational to all.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Management

  • Oversee the alignment of module learning outcomes to the overall objectives of the PCICS programme.

Module Development & Enhancement

  • Work with lecturers, tutors & curriculum research assistants to research, design and continuously enhance the module content & delivery
  • Identify and recommend teaching techniques and technologies relevant for the PCICS learning outcomes.
  • Develop new/ enhance existing assessment methodologies

Module Coordinator

  • Coordinate all curriculum related matters with foreign partners & students
  • Overall coordinator for Arab Language Support (provided by external vendor)

Faculty Development

Support in the professional development of faculty and instructional staff

Requirements:

  • Candidate should possess a tertiary education in Islamic Sciences
  • At least 3 years’ experience in curriculum development work
  • Proficient in speaking & writing Arabic Language
  • Strong interest in Asatizah Development, Adult Learning, Higher Islamic Education and Developments in Socio-Religious sector
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to engage people at different levels
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
