The Department of Educational Development (EDU) in Singapore Polytechnic provides expertise for the professional development of academic staff and assist SP in developing strategies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

The appointee will work closely with the department management team to provide administration management and support.

Responsibilities:-

  • Be part of the Resource and Administration team that provides administration management and support to EDU, including HR and Finance functions, e.g. submission and management of department budget and conducting departmental level briefings where necessary
  • Oversee quality management of the department, including workplace safety and health matters, and updating ISO records
  • Organise department staff welfare activities, e.g. teambuilding events and retreats
  • Manage the department’s training administration, facilities and training resources
  • Provide events management support for department events including planning and scheduling, and playing the role of operations manager on event day
  • Participation in other administrative duties and special projects as assigned. Examples include assisting in corporate-wide activities such as supporting research members to manage their grants and representing EDU in relevant school committees and project groups such as the Workplace Safety and Health committee

Requirements:-

  • At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the field of administrative support, academic support and/or events management
  • Applicants with strong IT (MS Office suite of applications) and data analytics skills will have an added advantage
  • Self-driven and independent team-player who is detail-oriented and highly organised
  • Keen learner who displays a positive work attitude
  • Possess strong administrative, project and events management skills
  • Possess ability to multi-task
  • Versatile, meticulous and energetic individual
  • Display excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
