Management of used water network in Singapore is key in safeguarding public health and water resources. Used water is also a water resource. By collecting every drop of used water and ensuring every drop is fit for recycling, NEWater is produced as a sustainable source of supply to meet Singapore‚Äôs water demand.  

You will be part of the team responsible to operate and maintain this delicate and intrinsically complex network. As an electrical engineer in Water Reclamation (Network) Department, you will play a key role in operating and maintaining the used water network system. In the process, you will appreciate the intricacies of the network and play an important role towards water sustainability.


Job Responsibilities

1.       Review asset renewal program for the equipment and instrumentation reaching economic life.

2.       Provide planning and design support for electrical equipment in sewerage facilities.

3.       Assess operation resilience and adequacy of electrical equipment in sewerage facilities to ensure operation continuity.

4.       Plan and implement the maintenance of electrical power, pumping equipment and instrumentation at pumping installations, OCFs and bubbler level system to ensure that electrical power, pumping equipment and instrumentation are well maintained and able to convey sewage reliably to WRPs for reclamation.

5.       Plan and implement the maintenance of the SCADA systems at WRNOC and DRC to ensure that operating status of equipment, instrumentations, OCFs and bubbler level system are reliably monitored.

6.       Plan and conduct emergency exercises for power/standby generator failure and SCADA system failure in preparation for any emergencies.


Job Requirements

1.      Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.

2.      Independent, result-oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills.

3.      Independent, able to handle unpredictable situations and be ready to apply emergency response plans and SOPs.

4.      Good communication and interpersonal skills and possess a positive, can-do attitude.

5.      Proficient in MS Office Applications.
