Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for scientific planning and implementation of the project with good technical competencies in feed formulation, feed quality testing, feed and feeding performance, feed and meat composition analysis for finfish and crustaceans.
  • Ensure good laboratory practices with responsible housekeeping during project execution and  after project completion for a conducive and safe workplace
  • Make timely consumable/equipment purchases in accordance with financial policies and guidelines for smooth conduct of the project and prompt project completion
  • Provide project progress updates regularly and consistent data recording management
  • Demonstrate good presentation skills and statistical analysis for report writing
  • Support skill-based training and logistics  in  AIC workshops and programmes
  • Undertake projects for staff competencies and capabilities development
  • Maintain professionalism, good work ethics, and confidentiality of AIC’s projects
  • Handle centre-related tasks as and when assigned

 

Prerequisites

  • At least a post-graduate degree with 5 years of applied aquaculture nutrition-related research or field experience. Veterinarians in aquaculture research would also be considered.
  • Good statistical and relevant analytical tools for data analysis, interpretation, and report writing
  • Resourceful and able to work independently to execute the tasks and achieve deliverables on time
  • Good communication, as well as project planning and management skills, are important.
