As a Biologist in the Biology Laboratory of Water Quality Department, you will work with a project team to develop the Automated Phytoplankton Recognition and Counting System. Your main roles and responsibilities would include:

• Carry out sample analysis to collect phytoplankton data  
• Annotate phytoplankton images to develop the image library
• Organize and interpret results in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist to fine-tune and enhance the capability of the system
• Assist in evaluating the operational reliability of the system
• Perform other laboratory tasks as required

Requirements:

• A degree in Biology, Environmental Science or related Science discipline
• Good experience in laboratory work with knowledge in taxonomy classification of phytoplankton is preferred
• Motivated, responsible and proactive individual
• Good written and communication skills
• A team player who is also able to work independently
