The Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) plans and prioritizes key Smart Nation and digital government projects, raises the standards of Government ICT and services, builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation in digital and smart innovations. It takes a whole-of-nation effort, and we will actively engage the public, the industry and fellow agencies as we build a Smart Nation together.

 

Responsibilities

Human Capital and Development Directorate plays a role in supporting SNDGO in delivering on the Smart Nation outcomes and the Government ICT&SS sector, through 3 teams:

  • (Team 1) Sectoral HR Policy: Developing an attractive career proposition for a common scheme (Digital Technologist Scheme) for the ICT&SS sector through bold and innovative HR strategies and policies;
  • (Team 2) Sectoral Talent & Leadership Management: Ensuring a strong leadership bench strength for the ICT&SS sector through effective and collective talent management and succession planning; and
  • (Team 3) Human Capital: Focusing on the full spectrum of Human Resources to recruit, develop and retain high quality SNDGO staff with agile and leading HR practices.

This role is in Team 3 and reports to Deputy Director (Human Capital). You will be part of the Human Capital team responsible for these key areas:

  1. Business Partnering. You will partner the Senior Management and assigned business units as HR business partner to lead and address their workforce and capabilities issues and needs to achieve business success.
  2. Learning & Career Development. As the Centre of Excellence lead, you put in place structures and interventions to build a competent and agile workforce capable of taking on new roles quickly and develop mastery in what they do.
  3. Workforce Planning, Organisation & Job Design. As the Centre of Excellence lead, you will work closely with corporate strategy to ensure that the organisation is positioned for success with the right jobs, structures and people.

 

Requirements

We are in search of motivated individuals who share the following skillsets and traits:

Specific Competencies

  • At least 2 years of experience in functional HR areas
  • [Business Acumen] Demonstrate keenness and quickness in understanding the organisation’s business context, drivers, opportunities and risks. In doing so, develop and execute HR strategies based on sound judgment and in alignment to the organisation’s goals.
  • [Sense-making and Data Analytics] Appreciate and possesses the ability to make data-driven recommendation. This may entail the ability to perform analysis using data analysis tools and techniques to obtain insights and enhance the analysis with visualization tools
  • [Workforce Planning] Experience in organisation development and workforce planning, e.g. technological roadmap, capability roadmap etc as part of the overall transformation efforts;
  • [Communications and Engagement] Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders; including multi-agency and inter-departmental teams
