Established in April 2013 as a statutory body of the Singapore government, the Singapore Accountancy Commission collaborates with local and international communities in order to drive accountancy excellence in Singapore through talent development, professional qualification, research and thought leadership. Taking the Committee to Develop the Accountancy Sector (CDAS) final report as our guide, the SAC’s goal is to transform Singapore into a leading global accountancy hub for the Asia-Pacific region by 2020. In fulfilling this mission, the SAC seeks to uphold the values of being relevant, insightful, collaborative and advocative.

The Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) spearheads the development of the Singapore accountancy sector with the vision of developing Singapore into a leading global accountancy hub. We are working to achieve this by deepening the skills of the accountancy talent pool; developing the industry to capture growth opportunities; and creating a hub and exchange by building Singapore into a Centre for thought leadership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse business and technology trends, and gather data to generate insights to strengthen Singapore's accountancy sector
  • Manage research projects with local and international stakeholders, including Professional bodies and Institutes for Higher Learning to develop and implement industry development strategies
  • Produce quality research outputs and content in the form of articles and reports to promote industry and jobs transformation
  • Assist in formulating strategies and forming partnerships with local and foreign bodies to drive growth, productivity and technology innovation to transform the accountancy sector
  • Provide secretariat support to relevant committees and workgroups.

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of working experience, with 2 years of experience in strategy and planning / consulting / innovation / research 
  • Excellent analytical, collaborative, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously and work independently
  • Prior experience in public policy / regulatory work and/or research and consulting work within the public sector / intergovernmental organisations / think tanks are added advantages
