About Outward Bound Singapore - a division of NYC

Outward Bound Singapore (OBS), is a member of Outward Bound International - a global network of Outward Bound schools operating in 34 countries. Established in 1967, OBS is recognised for its leading experience in outdoor education with more than 500,000 people trained. The Partnership Engagement (PE) unit oversees the outreach efforts to OBS stakeholders through the development and execution of engagement and communication strategies and approaches. One of PE’s focus is in mentoring, developing and grooming OBS Alumni and partners to amplify OBS’s mission of inspired individuals and transformed communities. We also work closely with NYC Strategic Communications in reaching out to all youth who come through OBS’ doors to provide them the multiple platforms and opportunities to be empowered and developed into the next generation of youth leaders

As Manager/Assistant Manager (Partnership Engagement – Digital Communications), you will develop an effective marketing strategy for OBS’ social media platforms and OBS websites/microsites. You also will work closely with the various OBS departments, marketing agency partners and our in-house Strategic Communications team, to develop clear, concise and consistent internal and external communications.


You will gain experience and hone your skills through the following responsibilities:

• Develop marketing (both digital and offline) strategies for the OBS social media platforms (e.g. Telegram, Instagram and Facebook) and OBS websites/microsites to increase mindshare, position OBS Instructor as the career of choice and to empower Alumni to Serve, Grow and Inspire.

• Analyse statistics (ROI on campaigns/content) from all the channels and suggest regular recommendation to achieve overall strategy.

• Create, update and maintain content for the OBS social media platforms and OBS corporate website and other microsites regularly, including marketing content and internal communications within all OBS campuses (OBS TV, banners, etc).

• Support in the vetting of all communications to internal staff and liaising between internal stakeholders and NYC Strategic Communications for internal and external communications.

• Support copywriting and designing in adhoc visual branding efforts.

• Management of enquiries / feedback / complaints.



• Relevant experience in digital communications/communications of min. 2 years (for Manager)
• Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills with relevant experience on managing any digital asset
• Possess proficient knowledge in using data analytics and content creation tools
• Ability to use tact and professionalism including in times of stress
• Possess creative thinking skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team, and in cross-functional teams
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt well and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Work location is based at Pulau Ubin and you may need to travel between OBS' different locations in the course of your work
