Job Summary:

  • Strategise an acquisition plan of new donors and partnerships’ opportunities, with an aim of widening new donor segments based on annual targets. 
  • Build relationship and engagement with new donors for causes supported by ComChest through a holistic promotion of all existing and new programmes.
  • Identify strategies and develop solutions that meet fund-raising and engagement business needs such as process re-design and automation to piloting and implementing new initiatives and technologies
  • Leverage diverse expertise and experiences across NCSS and ComChest to harness synergy across products, provide insights on giving and curate strategic partnership opportunities alongside relationship management of stakeholders;
  • Explore new and future-state giving products, capabilities, means and platforms to strengthen ComChest’s positioning as the national fundraiser and advocator for the social service sector.
  • Develop fundraising capability within the social service sector by collaborating with stakeholders within NCSS and social service agencies.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  1. Guide and supervise team in fundraising strategy and approach with particular focus on untapped segments or industries in cultivating leads, grow relations and thus driving donations’ outcomes.
  2. Scope and monitor trends and developments in the sector and relevant industries e.g. publications, conferences and seminars to spot trends / innovation and identify viable applications for ComChest.
  3. Identify, evaluate and pursue revenue opportunities related to new fund-raising ideas and innovation so as to enhance ComChest’s authoritative standing in social service sector.
  4. Expand fundraising & engagement through partnership strategies, relationship and event management with corporations, foundations, groups and individuals.
  5. Curation of suitable products from the social service sector for donation support.
  6. Ensure compliance of integrity in matters of people, processes, procurement and relationships (vendors / suppliers / partners).
  7. Any other duties as assigned by Managing Director / Director that are aligned to Community Chest’s purposes.

Education:

Minimum bachelor degree in disciplines related to skills and knowledge.
Post-graduation degree(s) an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years management experience and 8-10 years of working experience.
Demonstrated experience  in sales/business development/fund-raising or clients/accounts’ management. Strategic thinking and with some knowledge of process improvement and change management.

Special Certification(s):

Social service knowledge will be an added advantage.
