As a statutory board in the Ministry of Communications and Information, IMDA promotes and regulates the infocomm and media sectors.

Assistant Director/Deputy Director, Digital Inclusion 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for review and formulation of next phase of Digital Access programme, to better meet the needs of beneficiaries.
  • Oversee the running of Digital Access programme comprising various schemes designed to address specific digital gaps.
  • Manage key stakeholders and partners, and leverage industry’s capability and strength to further the cause of Digital Access schemes targeting at low-income; Digital for Life Fund projects helping Singaporeans embrace digital as a lifelong pursuit and enrich their lives using digital.
  • Oversee the management and implementation of various Fund schemes to support ground up initiatives that contribute to digital readiness or Digital for Life cause of digital technology & inclusion; or digital literacy & wellness.
  • Oversee the operations of grant calls, proposals evaluation & award, project management and claim disbursement.
  • Develop and deepen staff’s competencies in policy & strategy development, scheme operations and management, funds management & grants administration, as well as stakeholders management.

 Experience:

  • Background in Economics, Political Science, Public Administration or Law would be an advantage
  • At least 12 years of experience in public policy making and scheme operations
  • Have experience managing a team with at least 4 members for at least 6 years
  • Have good appreciation of social sector
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Good people management, negotiation and leadership skills

Position will commensurate with experience.
