We are looking for self-driven staff excited about promoting and implementing programmes on greenery appreciation among Singaporeans in support of NParks’ City in Nature vision.  You will be part of a team overseeing NParks’ flagship community engagement programme – Community in Bloom. Working closely with grassroots, schools, volunteers and various organisations in Singapore, you will provide horticultural consultancy services to develop and sustain community gardening projects.  This will include spending time on the ground connecting with and mobilising the community and members of the public.


Key Roles include:

  • Lead and manage a range of gardening programmes targeting new segments under new projects such as SG30 Green Plan, CIB Awards 2022, Gardeners’ Cup 2022 and all Gardening with Edibles (GwE) related programming, including the new corridor gardening initiative and expanded scope of allotment garden scheme
  • Promote, set-up programmes and build partnerships with stakeholders, including Grassroot Organisations, Town Councils and HDB
  • Work on strategic alignment, fine-tune initiatives, review to streamline processes and develop educational resources to drive and meet the targets of SG30 Green Plan and 30x30 goal
  • Develop new digital content resources on edible gardening such videos, Facebook live, monthly columns and Masterclass on edible growing
  • Conduct surveys and interpret statistical data for expanded Community in Bloom programme with a focus on new areas - GwE, corridor/home gardeners and virtual gardening communities
  • Manage the prototype development of corridor gardening planters by working with NUS, SUTD and ITE
  • Assist to drive CIB outreach through events and activities, such as conducting gardening talks and workshops



• Degree in a Horticulture-related discipline preferred

• Hands-on experience in growing plants and gardening would be advantageous

• Preferably with minimum two years’ experience in social media, digital content creation/marketing and promoting public outreach programmes

• Good communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills

• Prepared to work outside office hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays


Successful candidate will be offered a 9-month contract employment.
