Assistant Professor of Political Science & Environmental Studies Gambier, OH
The Political Science Department and Environmental Studies Department at Kenyon College invite applications for a tenure-track position beginning July 1, 2027. Qualified applicants will have a strong teaching and research background in comparative politics, environmental politics, and international relations. The successful candidate would be appointed in both Political Science (60%) and Environmental Studies (40%), teach established courses in the curricula of both departments, and contribute upper-level courses on environmental politics and policy in their areas of expertise. We will prioritize candidates with a strong record of teaching and research; a commitment to student advising and mentorship; and plans to incorporate student researchers into their research. Visiting Assistant Professor of Studio Art (Design) Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Studio Art (Design), beginning in August 2026. The ideal candidate will be an artist and design educator with demonstrated expertise in design and technology, including culturally sensitive design, human-centered design, design activism, and contemporary design issues and aesthetics. Applicants should be practicing artists who exhibit work nationally and/or internationally, and are committed to maintaining an ongoing artistic career. They must hold an MFA degree with teaching experience at the college level. The ability to communicate the relevance of art and design in society is essential. Knowledge of design technologies and software is required. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per year. Salaries at Kenyon are competitive and are commensurate with experience and qualifications. We seek applications from interdisciplinary scholars whose work engages the field of American Studies. Candidates who specialize in the study of policing and carcerality are especially encouraged to apply.
