Post-baccalaureate Researcher in Chemistry

The Kenyon College Chemistry Department is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, post-baccalaureate position in the laboratory of Yutan Getzler. This position is funded through a Research at Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) grant from the NSF to study controlled polymer degradation. The immediate goal of our program is synthesis and characterization of linear and cyclic polyesters via ring-opening polymerization of commercially available and novel lactones using coordination compounds. Several variants of the novel lactones are in hand on multi-gram scales and their syntheses are well developed. Initial conditions for polymerization of commercially available monomers are established. This position designed for those intending to pursue graduate studies in synthetic chemistry. |
Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Women’s Assistant Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. Under the general direction of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Women’s Basketball program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Assistant Women’s Basketball
Coach will work in conjunction with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities: coaching, providing leadership for student-athletes, scouting, recruiting, instructing, strength training & conditioning, arranging travel, tracking equipment, and developing alumni contacts. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in game management, facility overview, teaching, and / or administration. It is also expected that the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach embrace the department mission of fostering learning and developing community with a focus on the values of citizenship, competition, resiliency, sportsmanship, and teamwork within Kenyon’s unique campus culture. The Development Officer, Planned Giving will build relationships with donors, provide technical expertise in charitable gift planning, and help meet our fundraising goals while honoring donors' personal, financial, and legacy objectives.
