Our Funds Management team in Melbourne is expanding and we are looking for an Associate to join our close-knit, growing and dynamic team.
Allens has one of the leading Funds, Super & Wealth practices in Australia. We act for many of the largest fund managers, investment managers and institutional investors in and outside of Australia, and have been involved in many of Australia's landmark fund-related transactions and projects.
Working in a close-knit, growing and dynamic team, the position involves acting on fund-related matters across a range of asset classes and industry sectors, and provides access to a broad range of both transactional and advisory work.
As an associate within our Funds team, you will be working closely with and supporting both the Partners and Senior Associates, alongside the other associates and junior lawyers in the team. Your role will include:
• Advising leading Australian and global fund managers in establishing new Australian funds, raising capital and operating funds in Australia – including wholesale funds, capital partnerships and club funds, funds-of-one and listed and unlisted retail funds and stapled groups.
• Advising leading Australian and global institutional investors in relation to their direct and indirect investments across a range of traditional and emerging asset classes.
• Advising on financial services regulatory issues relevant to fund managers and investors.
We act for many of Australia's largest fund managers, investment managers and institutional investors, and for global fund managers, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds.
You will have access to the firm's extensive client base to explore and develop new opportunities and deliver outstanding service. You will act for a wide range of clients, each with unique and challenging work environments. We mobilise quickly, listen to client concerns and base your recommendations on what's most important to them.

We are ideally looking for a full-time Associate, but we support flexibility, and would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.
