Our Melbourne Disputes & Investigations practice is expanding and we're recruiting a Senior Associate to join the Group. You'll join our team of experts who assist clients with their complex dispute and investigation matters, within a collaborative environment.
Our band-1 Disputes & Investigations practice, as ranked by Chambers Global, act in the most complex, high-value and reputationally significant disputes and investigations in the Australian market. We frequently assist with the Australian component of major international disputes, and have the capacity to conduct matters in jurisdictions throughout Australia and the Asia region.
We act in some of Australia’s most significant commercial disputes, including class actions, corporate disputes and investigations, including inquiries by:
- Australian Securities & Investments Commission.
- Australian Securities Exchange.
- Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
- Royal Commissions.
- Senate inquiries.
Our large team has experience across a range of sectors and include specialist Disputes & Investigations Partners and Lawyers, supported by Knowledge Management Lawyers, Paralegals and Practice Assistants. Our Disputes & Investigations team works without borders, so you will be able to work on matters in any jurisdiction. Our team works side by side with clients as they confront the challenges of a constantly changing legal and regulatory landscape, with regulatory reform and new enforcement approaches by regulators high on the agenda.
You will have access to the firm's extensive client base to explore and develop new opportunities and deliver outstanding service. You will act for a wide range of leading Australian and multi-national clients, each with unique and challenging work environments. We mobilise quickly, listen to client concerns and base our recommendations on what's most important to them, ensuring we minimise reputational and legal risk.

What you'll bring
- Experience in dispute resolution and / or regulatory investigations, ideally from a leading top tier, national or international firm;
- An ability to effectively manage larger matters.
- A willingness to participate in business development activities, such as pitch documents, firm-wide pursuits, article writing, attending industry events and hosting seminars.
- A desire and ability to grow, both as a Commercial Litigator and leader.
- An ability to establish a professional profile and internal networks.
- A willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences and networks.
- A willingness to build an understanding of clients and develop effective working relationships.
We are ideally looking for a full-time Senior Associate, however support flexibility, and would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.
