Laboratory Animal Technician 1	Eugene, OR
Terrestrial Animal Care Services (TeACS) is responsible for managing and administering a centralized program of laboratory animal care. The functions of TeACS include daily animal care, veterinary care, research and surgical support, and training of research and technical personnel who use live animals for research or teaching. TeACS is an academic service unit (for research and teaching) that reports to the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI), which promotes excellence in research at the University of Oregon.

Responsibilities include maintaining floors, cleaning offices, cleaning the exterior of buildings, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning overhead pipes and lights, and washing windows and doors. The schedule is flexible and changes based on the needs of operational activities and events. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics programs, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Big Ten Conference and the NCAA. The person in this position will clean a variety of spaces with a variety of equipment. This position may require the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift significant amounts of weight with and without assistance.
