Your new role at NewDay
An incredible opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative leader in the UK consumer credit and tech space! As part of a highly skilled Treasury team, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing over £4B in assets, overseeing all funding, cash management, forecasting, hedging, and product control. In this role, you’ll take the lead in driving Treasury’s success, contributing directly to the company’s growth and shaping its financial future.
You’ll deliver
- Overseeing legal, rating agency, modelling, data, marketing, and settlement workstreams, while also providing subject matter expertise and post-deal support for NewDay’s securitisations.
- Managing relationships with external parties (lawyers, rating agencies, banks, investors) and internal NewDay teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Collaborating with commercial and credit teams to develop financing strategies, assess credit performance, and manage funding budgets and related activities.
What you’ll bring
- Leading the structuring of customized transactions, designing funding solutions for existing and new products, and reviewing legal documentation in collaboration with external law firms.
- Owning the rating agency process, including creating and presenting data, modelling capital structures, and ensuring compliance with rating criteria independently of bank arrangers.
- Proactively managing bond marketing strategies, creating materials, representing NewDay at roadshows and conferences, and overseeing due diligence sessions and relationship management with internal and external parties.
- Managing projects and budgets, ensuring compliance with risk and control frameworks, contributing to the ALCO reporting cycle, and collaborating with various teams across the business.
We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:
- Strong modelling, analytical abilities, and experience with securitisation funding, capable of handling complex problems, projects, and structures.
- Proven ability to lead projects with a strong risk and control mindset, ensuring high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, PowerPoint, Word) and advanced proficiency in Excel for reviewing, improving, and designing sophisticated spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of securitisation, particularly master trusts or the credit card asset class, and experience working within a Treasury function.
- Familiarity with credit, servicing, and commercial functions within a credit card business.
And would love you to know or learn:
- Proven track record of delivering results in dynamic, high-pressure environments with strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical mind, strong logical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Highly resilient, innovative, and able to take responsibility for projects with limited oversight, while efficiently prioritising and managing multiple tasks.
