Your new role At NewDay

 

As part of the leadership of the Enterprise Risk Function work with the Director, Risk and other Heads Of in partnership, to deliver an effective and efficient risk management function.

 

Reporting directly to the Director, Risk, direct the work of the Enterprise Risk function to deliver effective enterprise-wide governance and control.  Engaging, motivating and developing the team to deliver to high standards, keep pace with the risk profile of the business as it grows and take account of external factors and events. Working collaboratively with ExCo and senior management across the business to ensure NewDay is in control of the risks it faces and is effectively applying agreed risk frameworks (including where relevant 3rd parties).

 

Leadership role informing, communicating and directing on matters relating to the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment. Leading by example and working in partnership with peers and business stakeholders, acting as a champion of the Enterprise Risk Function, the NewDay risk management culture and NewDay Manifesto and Values.

0-12 months you’ll deliver

           

  • As part of the Risk Leadership team be a subject matter expert and work directly with the Director, to guide ExCo and the Board in their management of the control environment
  • Lead the Enterprise Risk Frameworks (ERF) teams
  • Lead the incident management and remediation teams to deal with activities business wide
  • Responsible for the effective oversight of the Operational Resilience Framework
  • Through effective stakeholder management, ensure Operational Resilience is embedded within NewDay
  • Lead the Third-Party Assurance team ensuring we deliver effective and proportionate assurance activity over NewDay’s third parties

 

What you’ll bring      

 

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

 

  • Enterprise Risk leadership from a financial services or regulated environment
  • High-profile, senior stakeholder engagement and influencing
  • A demonstrable sleeves-up leader with the ability to shape and develop high performing teams

 

And would love you to know or learn:

 

  • Comfort with an agile, growing business
  • Influence at the Operating and Finance Committee, Credit Management Committee, Platform Committee, and Board Risk Committee as required on Enterprise Risk related matters
