Laboratory Animal Technician I Manhattan, Kansas
This position is a member of the animal care technician team that supports the mission of the Comparative Medicine Group. The CMG mission is to provide animal husbandry and veterinary services for animals used in KSU’s research, teaching, and testing programs. This position is responsible for animal husbandry (e.g. feeding, watering, cleaning stalls/pens/cages, waste disposal, sanitation/decontamination of facilities/equipment, etc.), animal handling/restraint/transport, general facility housekeeping/maintenance tasks, and other duties as assigned.
Hazardous Waste Technician Manhattan, Kansas
This position supports compliance assurance efforts of the Department of Environmental Health and Safety. The position exists to ensure the legal and safe management, control, and disposal of hazardous materials at Kansas State University through direct handling of hazardous materials and waste, facility compliance inspections and by providing consultation to the campus community (i.e., principal investigators, faculty, staff and students) about environmental regulatory requirements. This position is part of a hazardous materials emergency response team that promptly addresses hazardous materials incidents on campus (during and after hours) and conducts related abatement activities. This position also assists the Environmental Compliance Manager with the development and compliance assurance of environmental protection programs mandated as part of RCRA, Controlled Substances Act, CAA, CWA, and other environmental protection acts and related regulations.

The Extension Nutrition Program, within K-State Research and Extension, is currently seeking two full-time Nutrition Educators. The Nutrition Educator serves to meet the Kansas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) mission of empowering low-income Kansans using evidence-based strategies to achieve healthy lives and reduce health disparities.
