About This Role:

This position will assist in performing research related to the tumor microenvironment in the Zolkiewska laboratory. Job responsibilities include:

  • Plan and conduct experiments related to the tumor microenvironment. Specifically, perform genetic manipulations in cultured mammalian cells, transplant cancer cells into mice, analyze tumor-infiltrating immune cells using flow cytometry, immunofluorescence microscopy, and immunoblotting.
  • Analyze experimental data
  • Keep detailed laboratory record
  • Participate in the preparation of manuscripts and reports

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of laboratory research experience
  • Master of Science (MS) or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline
  • Background in cancer biology
  • Experience in mammalian tissue culture, animal models of tumorigenesis, immunofluorescence microscopy, and/or flow cytometry
  • Experience in standard molecular/cellular biology techniques

Other Requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
