About This Role:

Kansas State University's Division of Biology invites applications for a full-time, 12-month term, Academic Advisor. The Academic Advisor assists 300 undergraduate students with course selection and navigating University resources. This role also helps with recruitment and retention efforts and supports students with long-range planning to find the best options for their particular goals.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Previous experience in teaching and/or advising in higher education
  • Familiarity with the academic field of biological sciences

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with student, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$39,780 - $50,000 annually
