About This Role:

The Graduate School is seeking a full-time Director of Graduate Recruitment. The director will serve in a strategic leadership role within the Graduate School, will work with the vice provost for graduate education and dean of the graduate school, as well as with the academic units, in creating a graduate recruitment unit within the Graduate School and leading it.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the academic units, the K-State campuses, supporting units and graduate School team members to:

  • Develop a graduate strategic recruitment and admission plan that are in alignment with the university SEM and Graduate Schools’ goals.
  • Lead the implementation of the Graduate SEM plan by coordinating tactics with academic programs’ recruitment efforts using data informed analysis
  • Oversee operations management and admissions
  • Assess graduate recruitment/admission practices to identify best admission practices that support DE&I efforts
  • Use and manage the university’s Customer Relations management (CRM) and database systems to aid tracking, analysis, reporting and admission processing.
  • Plan and execute promotion and communication strategies to grow the applicant pools for all programs in collaboration with Division of Communication & Marketing
  • Develop and manage direct marketing/customized materials for prospects and candidates
  • Represent the Graduate School at graduate recruitment events. Provide administrative support for recruitment-related activities and other Graduate School functions. Directly communicate with prospective students, alumni, and other audiences.
  • Plan and implement ongoing training sessions for graduate program coordinators in best practices in graduate recruitment and admissions processes, as well about changes in higher education that impact recruitment

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five to 10 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • A minimum of three years of experience with recruitment in higher education
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Demonstrated data management and analytical skills
  • Graduate recruitment experience
  • Strong oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Slate
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative work environment and to foster a service-oriented team environment
