About This Role:

This position will support the university by responding to well-being challenges and concerns amongst college students and work towards embedding well-being into all aspects of campus culture, across the administration, operations and academic mandates. All applicants will be required to develop and deliver well-being programs that promote community belonging, resilience, and good physical and mental health and well-being. This position will require the applicant to be willing and able to work in multidisciplinary teams across the university to create a supportive and inclusive environment that includes well-being initiatives, practices and strategies for all populations on campus. The role of the campus well-being advisor serves as the subject matter expert on well-being resources and initiatives across campus and fully understand how to connect students with appropriate campus resources.

Meet with KSU students, conduct well-being assessments, and help students develop a plan on how to start, enhance, or maintain their well-being by using resources and programming across the K-State Campus.

Develop, enhance, and deliver well-being programs to address emotional well-being, social well-being, and spiritual well-being.

•        Wildcat Reset


Develop and deliver well-being outreach material to educate students, faculty, and staff about well-being strategies and resources available on and beyond the campus.

•        Thrive@Kansas State Podcast

•        Social Media Content


Coordinate with campus partners on events, outreach efforts, and initiatives to promote and enhance well-being for KSU students.

•        Participate in well-being collaborative


Develop and maintain quantitative and qualitative measurements of impact regarding well-being programming and messaging.


Other duties as assigned by Director or designee.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework and/or training in nursing, public health, health and well-being, social work, communications, or related field.
  • One to three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Group presentation skills and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience working with young adults in the area of well-being and prevention.
  • Proven audio visual production or broadcasting skills are a plus.
  • The role of campus well-being advisor will require the individual to be a dynamic and creative professional with a background in mental health, public health or student advising.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • The applicant must be willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs and demands of the university community.
