About This Role:

The Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevent Specialist will be responsible for managing prevention education on sexual and relationship violence for the university.  The Prevention Specialist will oversee K-State’s bystander intervention program, Wildcats Make a Pact, and assist in developing a comprehensive prevention plan.  They will also take part in managing outreach and awareness events.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, social work, family studies and human services, gender, women, and sexuality studies, sociology, etc., or related field. 
    • This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of gender-based violence including survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches, ability to multi-task, experience in marketing and communication
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Ability to carry 10-20 pounds of educational materials to on and off-campus presentations.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$40,576 - $43,729
