About This Role:

K-State Salina’s Department of Professional Education and Outreach (PEO) seeks a dedicated Program/Project Coordinator to assist the department in facilitating professional industry training programs.

This position is responsible for fulfilling the campus mission of delivering non-credit educational opportunities by coordinating logistics, registrations, certifications, and instructors for the campus professional development noncredit programs and conferences. The position will also be responsible for data entry and reporting and other duties to support the programming efforts of the PEO unit.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse groups
  • Ability to oversee tasks in person and remotely, working with students and partners that are local and at a distance
  • Ability to work in a team environment and individually
  • Experience in coordinating events or training programs, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Experience creating and hosting in-person and online programs for various group sizes
  • Experience evaluating program effectiveness and participant experience
  • Experience in contract negotiation and budget management

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required infrequently

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$19.51-$21.63 per hour, depending on qualifications
