About This Role:
|
Kansas State University Salina is seeking a dedicated Director of Academic Advising to provide leadership for academic advising and tutoring services, supporting student services, programs, events, and intervention. The Director is responsible for developing, facilitating, and assessing a proactive and holistic academic advising model to guide students from orientation through graduation for the Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus. The incumbent in this position works collaboratively with Salina academic department heads, admissions, career and academic engagement, and student life to support the Salina campus in realizing advising-related goals and strategies associated with K-State’s National Institute of Student Success playbook, the Next Generation K-State strategic plan, and strategic enrollment management plans.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
|
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Five to ten years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience in academic advising or student academic support highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing a team highly preferred.
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Academic Advising, Counseling, Student Affairs, or related field.
- Familiarity with advising-related technologies (e.g., EAB Navigate) and their effective integration into advising services.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in academic advising, student development, and retention strategies.
- Proven ability to innovate and adapt to changing student and institutional needs.
- Success as a collaborator with strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience integrating advising-related technologies into advising services.
- Experience managing a budget.

$60,500 - $70,000
