Aviation Technician Salina, Kansas
The Kansas State Polytechnic campus is seeking an experienced Aviation Technician to maintain university-owned aircraft to ensure that they remain in airworthy condition. Aviation aircraft are used in the flight training program with routine and periodic maintenance inspections occurring daily.
Butler County Horticulture Extension Agent Other
Butler County, located in south central Kansas, is the largest Kansas county with an area of 1,483 square miles. The population is approximately 62,000. El Dorado is the county seat with a population of 13,141. Other larger incorporated cities include Augusta, Andover, Benton and Rose Hill. El Dorado is located within 30 miles of Wichita and is in the Flint Hills grasslands. This location provides the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of recreational and social activities. The Horticulture program is centered around community vitality and development and boasts a strong Master Gardner program. The Butler County Office is located adjacent to the Butler County Fair Grounds and 4-H Community Building in El Dorado. Extension agents are community based faculty of Kansas State University who make a difference by connecting community needs with university resources. Agents are administratively responsible to the local extension director and the local extension board. This position will provide primary leadership for the development and implementation of research-based educational programming related to horticulture. Programming will include but is not limited to: horticulture crop production, marketing and economics, conservation of natural resources, horticulture waste management, and landscape maintenance and improvement.
Post Rock District Livestock Production Extension Agent Other
Post Rock District is comprised of Jewell, Lincoln, Mitchell, Osborne, and Smith Counties in north-central Kansas. A staff of six extension agents and ten support staff serve this district’s combined population of 18,824. We are a vibrant district with vigorous in-person and digital educational outreach. With over 806,000 acres of pasture, beef cow and stocker/feeder operations dominate district livestock enterprises. Extension agents are community based faculty of Kansas State University who make a difference by connecting community needs with university resources. Agents are administratively responsible to the local extension director and the local extension board. This position will primary leadership for the development and implementation of research-based educational programs for livestock production, including but not limited to: breed and species selection and management, nutrition, livestock facilities, animal identification, marketing, best management practices and sustainable production techniques.
Veterinary Nursing Supervisor - Small Animal Surgery (Veterinary Health Center) Manhattan, Kansas
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Small Animal Surgery Veterinary Nursing Supervisor. This position will serve as a supervisor of staff, student workers, and management of physical equipment in the Small Animal Surgery Service spaces of the Veterinary Health Center. This includes supervision and scheduling of the On-Call Surgery Team.
Research Assistant - Histology (Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory) Manhattan, Kansas
The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Research Assistant. This position will have the primary responsibility of coordinating new incoming research projects and developing new tests related to immunohistochemistry. A large portion of this person's time will be spent developing new diagnostic and research assays along with coordinating research projects. This individual will also spend a decent amount of time performing diagnostic immunohistochemistry assays and will also assist in diagnostic routine histology duties related to service and research in times of need. All assays will be performed in accordance with those QA/QC guidelines of an AAVLD accredited laboratory. May assist in responsibilities including routine filing of slides, tissue blocks, entering workload data on computers, operating automated histology equipment, digital pathology, writing and updating standard operating procedures and some maintenance of equipment when needed. Significant attention must be given to the KSVDL QMS (Quality Management System) and subsequent compliance. Working hours could vary as needed to meet customer demands for rapid turnaround times for biopsy submissions, and will include working some weekends.

Receives guidelines and instructions from a supervisor and must be able to complete work and identify irregularities or potential problems relevant to university transactions and accounting functions. The Catalyst Technology and Media Services in the College of Education is seeking applicants for a Communications and Marketing Specialist. The purpose of this position is to handle the everyday promotions of initiatives, activities and events to support the advancement goals of the College of Education and its mission. This position will work with large research projects in phsychoneuroimmunology and precision animal management. The incumbent will manage dual-purpose research (i.e., economically important animals and biomedical animals) in an academic environment (i.e., co-mentoring and managing students and graduate research assistants). In addition, the incumbent will need to have a strong aptitude for data analyses, and applied ethological, immunological, and body-composition measures.

Small Animal Emergency Clinician (Clinical Sciences) Manhattan, Kansas
The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a clinical, 1 year, renewable appointment as a Small Animal Emergency Clinician (SAEC).  The SAEC will work with house officers, senior students and technical staff caring for small animal patients after hours.  Senior faculty will provide consultation and back-up assistance to the SAEC.   In addition to clinical care, the SAEC will provide clinical and didactic instruction for senior students on ICU rotation and emergency clinical services.  Evening and week-end duties are a requirement of this position.  Daytime responsibilities may occur on a limited basis to provide assistance with clinical activities for small animal medicine rotations.  This position represents a 100% appointment in clinical service and teaching.
