Facilities Services Coordinator

About This Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Facilities Services Coordinator to join our team. This critical role is responsible for analyzing and managing academic, non-academic, and extracurricular event requests, ensuring efficient use of university spaces, and supporting various campus events and services. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a passion for creating successful and safe events that enhance the university experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Space Scheduling: Evaluate and assign event requests to over 144 classrooms and facilities using 25Live software, maximizing space efficiency and generating reports for campus services.
  • Event Planning: Manage special events like Homecoming and 5K races, emphasizing risk management and adherence to safety policies. Host planning meetings and ensure all documentation, approvals, and insurance requirements are met.
  • Drone Operations: Approve unmanned aerial system (UAS) flight requests, verifying certifications, insurance, and airspace compliance while maintaining accurate records.
  • Customer Support: Answer service calls, create work orders, and assist with administrative tasks, such as reports and meeting coordination.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer five years’ experience in complex office support/clerical tasks with training in general office practices, office administration, mathematics, English grammar, or business. Prefer experience with word processing and database management software in a Windows environment.
  • Remote pilot certification for unmanned aerial systems. (Will train if candidate does not possess.)
